Tensie Whelan on the Growing Issue of Waste and Big Businesses

Tom Szaky, the founder of TerraCyle, has launched a new initiative called Loop that is transitioning consumers away from single-use plastics. Szaky is working alongside big businesses like Procter and Gamble, Unilever, Nestlé, Clorox, and Pepsico address their issue of waste disposal by selling consumers brand-name products in reusable packaging.

'Growing regulatory scrutiny of it is not going to go away. Growing consumer concern about it is not going to go away. And growing cost of waste disposal and the environmental impact is not going to go away.’”
