CSB Research on Consumer Packaged Goods Highlighted in Fora

Fora explains in a new article that environmental, social, and governance factors are dominating public policy and discourse among a wide range of stakeholders—regulators, consumers, investment and asset managers, business executives, and even data collectors and providers. As these stakeholders continue to integrate ESG into their sectors, the formerly niche investment area will continue its growth into the mainstream as CSB’s research also suggests. 

Excerpt: “ESG is driving consumer preference. Customers are not just paying lip service; they are now paying to ‘go green’. NYU Stern’s Center for Sustainable Business carried out extensive research into U.S. consumers’ actual purchasing of consumer packaged goods (CPG). Products that carried a sustainability claim accounted for 16.6% of the market in 2018, up from 14.3% in 2013, and delivered nearly $114 billion in sales.”
