Tensie Whelan, Director
Tensie Whelan (NYU ‘80), Clinical Professor for Business and Society, is the Founding Director of the NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business, where she is bringing her 25 years of experience working on local, national and international environmental and sustainability issues to engage businesses in proactive and innovative mainstreaming of sustainability.

Marianna Koval is the Director of the Invest NYC SDG Initiative at the NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business, where she manages a team engaging in the private sector to drive financing toward creating a more sustainable, inclusive and resilient New York City. Using the UN SDGs as a guiding framework, the team is developing investable projects to advance NYC’s sustainability goals in waste, food and health, climate resilience, renewable energy, the built environment, and sustainable mobility.

Randi Kronthal-Sacco (Stern ‘83) is a Senior Scholar of Marketing and Corporate Outreach at the NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business. Ms. Kronthal-Sacco leads CSB’s research in the areas of marketing and brands including the Sustainability Market Share Index™ and is responsible for corporate outreach.

Abigail Talcott-Schlaifer is the Senior Associate Director for the NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business, where she has responsibilities across the management of CSB, oversees curriculum development and student programming, cultivates and maintains relationships across internal and external constituencies, and provides high level strategic and logistical support to the Executive Director.

Karen Chu (MBA '23), Invest NYC SDG Research Assistant
Karen assists the Invest NYC SDG Initiative in developing business models, analyzing data, and communicating with stakeholders regarding projects that will create a more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient New York City.

London Clark (MBA '23), Invest NYC SDG Research Assistant
London assists the Invest NYC SDG Initiative in developing a comprehensive roadmap that encompasses the projects and strategies necessary to implement the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in New York City.

Danting is working with Tandon’s Center for Urban Science & Progress (CUSP) and the Invest NYC SDG team to enhance its M.A.P. NYC tool by adding additional data layers and conducting analysis of NYC's urban agriculture sector.

Max Wang (MS '23), Invest NYC SDG Research Assistant
Max supports the Invest NYC SDG Initiative to advance projects related to renewable energies and energy efficiency as we work to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) from NYC’s one million buildings, which create nearly 70 percent of the City’s GHG emissions, and help NYC achieve 80 percent reduction of carbon by 2050.
