Carbon-Neutrality Commitments Pay Off - CSB Research Featured in The Economist

Amazon, Apple, and Microsoft have all made sweeping pledges to become carbon-neutral in the not-so-distant future. The Economist article, "How do you make your company carbon neutral?" affirms this by contending that focusing on energy procurement can deliver benefits across the supply chain by reducing risk and improving resilience. 

NYU Stern CSB's Sustainable Marketshare Index is highlighted in the article to affirm the business case for companies' uptake of sustainable marketing strategies. According to the index, products marketed as sustainable saw higher sales than their conventially-marketed counterparts between 2015 and 2019. 

Excerpt: "The process is the same regardless of the size of the organisation: understand your carbon footprint by measuring your emissions; set an ambition, such as being net-zero or carbon negative; and take action by reducing and offsetting those emissions."
