Elizabeth Elting is interviews by Cathy Choi about her new book with an audience of students, alumni, and faculty.

NYU Stern was honored to host a book event with Elizabeth Elting (MBA ’92), founder and CEO of the Elizabeth Elting Foundation, to discuss her newly published book Dream Big and Win: Translating Passion into Purpose and Creating a Billion-Dollar Business.

Dean Raghu Sundaram welcomed the audience of students and alumni, and Cathy Choi (MBA ’96), Stern Alumni Council Co-Chair of the Stern Women in Business Alumnae Group, and President and CEO of BULBRITE, interviewed Elting about her book. In her book, Elting writes about how she co-founded TransPerfect, a billion-dollar translation and solutions company, and divulges practical and inspiring tips to fulfill your highest potential.

An inspiring role model, Elting is deeply involved with the School, serves on the Stern Executive Board, and regularly gives her time to mentor and support Stern students. Her philanthropy includes a $5 million gift to Stern to establish the Elizabeth Elting Advancing Women's Leadership Fellowship and the Elizabeth Elting Venture Fund, which supports women-led firms through the Endless Frontier Labs (EFL), a nine-month program focused on maximizing the potential of massively scalable science and deep technology startups. One of the most popular classrooms (2-60) in the Henry Kaufman Management Center is named in her honor as the Elizabeth Elting Lecture Hall.

Elting is highly lauded for her success; she has been recognized as a NOW “Woman of Power & Influence” and one of Forbes’ “Richest Self-Made Women,” among other accolades.

Following the lively conversation at the Stern event, the audience had a chance to ask questions and enjoy meeting Liz during the reception.
