The global economy is undergoing a seismic shift, and both the US and UK are at the forefront of navigating this transition. In this session, Professor Sam Chandan, Director of the Chao-Hon Chen Institute for Global Real Estate Finance, will explore the intersection of three critical sectors—economy, infrastructure, and real estate—and their implications for the future. Drawing on recent trends, challenges, and innovations, we will examine how these two economies are evolving and what lies ahead for businesses, investors, and policymakers.

Key topics will include:

  • Economic Outlook: How shifting inflation, interest rates, and geopolitical events are shaping growth prospects in both the US and UK.
  • Infrastructure Developments: From digital infrastructure to transportation and sustainable energy, what major projects are on the horizon and how they will impact economic resilience and urban development.
  • Real Estate Trends: The changing landscape of commercial and residential real estate, including shifts in demand, market recovery, and opportunities in the post-pandemic world.

Join us for a dynamic conversation on how these interconnected sectors will shape the future of these two nations, and what businesses and investors can do to prepare for what's next.

The conversation will be moderated by Aniruddha Barua, MBA 2014, who serves as Director of Real Estate and Hospitality Advisory at PJT Partners. Aniruddha is also a long-time member of the NYU Stern London Alumni Regional Committee.

Professor Chandan will be traveling to London with a group of MBA students as part of a Global Real Estate Immersion course.

Registration is complimentary and includes drinks and canapes following the program. You are welcome to register with a guest.
