NYU Stern alumni and friends are the driving force behind the Stern Fund which provides critical resources for the School.
In FY22, the Stern Fund received nearly $5.6 million in contributions from alumni, parents, and friends from September 1, 2021, through August 31, 2022.

Gifts from alumni and friends have a powerful and immediate impact on Stern. They enable the Dean and the faculty to respond to new ideas and innovative approaches, as well as to provide essential funding for student scholarships, faculty, academic programs, and alumni programming. Critical ways in which the School puts Stern Fund dollars to work
Scholarships: Broadening Access to a Stern Business Education
The largest allocation from the Stern Fund supports scholarships for Stern students, which allow us to attract the best and brightest applicants, many of whom otherwise could not afford a Stern business education. Over the last decade, Stern has nearly tripled the number of donor-funded scholarship dollars thanks to generous support from alumni and friends.
Faculty Research & Centers: Fueling Innovation and Thought Leadership
Contributions to the Stern Fund assist in recruiting top-tier faculty and financing ventures, research, and conferences that ensure Stern’s place at the forefront of the changing business world.
Alumni Engagement: Connecting Our Global Alumni Network and Fostering Lifelong Learning
The Stern Fund provides resources to support lifelong learning and professional development for our 110,000 strong global alumni population.
Student Experience: Offering Diverse Pathways and Enriching Opportunities
