Please join us (virtually, of course) for an interactive cooking class and presentation by Stern Clinical Associate Professor and Deputy Chair of Accounting, Julian Yeo. Yes, that's correct, accounting and cooking. Professor Yeo, an avid home chef, has woven these two seemingly disparate passions together with amazing results. He captures his breathtaking dishes on Instagram @yeocancook and was even featured in the Wall Street Journal video, “Alter Ego: The Secret Culinary Life of an Accounting Professor". At this event, we’ll learn how he combined his experience studying at the French Culinary Institute and desire to increase his home cooking ROI into a unique and inspiring approach to culinary exploration.
Professor Yeo has graciously agreed to lead us through preparing one of his original creations, Thai Red Curry Mussels (and a substitution suggestion for a vegetarian version will be provided). He’ll also present his fascinating philosophy for bringing more joy into cooking at home. You can prep and cook along with Professor Yeo or, if you prefer to enjoy cooking from a distance, sit back and watch, perhaps with a nice glass of wine.
Be sure to pick up the ingredients in advance if you would like to cook along with Professor Yeo. Once you register for the event, you’ll receive a shopping list in your confirmation email for the Thai Red Curry Mussels recipe and suggestions for substitutions (including a vegetarian option using zucchini).
Until the Food and Wine Alumni Group can safely resume our restaurant dinners and tastings, this program is free to all of you. So please register for this one of a kind experience!
