The NYU Stern Alumni Food & Wine Group invite Stern alumni to join us on Wednesday, November 20th, at Chama Mama for our second dinner of the 2019-2020 academic year.

In June, Eater’s Robert Sietsema included Chama Mama on his “Best Restaurants of 2019 So Far.” So we did a tasting and were similarly delighted! The name Chama Mama is a nod to the moms and grandmoms who are the connoisseurs of traditional Georgian dishes.

Our Stern dinner will feature a cornucopia of signature Georgian appetizers served family style, including stuffed grape leaves, meat or cheese khinkali (dumplings), and imeruli (cheese-filled bread). We’ll have a choice of entrée: lamb or wild mushroom chakapuli (Georgian stew) or Butcher’s Choice – a selection of chicken, beef and pork kebabs and lamb chops. A dessert platter of Georgian specialties caps the menu.

The feast will be paired with a flight of red, white and amber wines.

Vegetarians are welcome; please let us know in advance.

Cost: $65 per person
Includes multi-course dinner, flight of red, white and amber wines, and gratuity.
Vegetarians will be accommodated.
Additional beverages are extra and are billed individually.

RSVP by Tuesday, November 19th, at 9:00 AM.
You are welcome to invite one guest.
