The NYU Stern Food & Wine Alumni Group invites you to join us on Tuesday, February 8th for a conversation between Jenny Goodman (MBA ’16), co-founder and CEO of Tilit, and Professor Jeff Carr, Clinical Professor of Marketing and Entrepreneurship.

Jenny and her husband, Alex, a seasoned chef, started Tilit after recognizing an unmet need for stylish and functional workwear in the hospitality industry. Today, their NYC-based company is highly regarded by top chefs (check out the Tom Colicchio apron collab!) and home cooks alike for creating thoughtfully designed, fashion forward apparel and uniforms. In this chat, we'll learn about Jenny's journey from a part-time entrepreneur and MBA student to a full-time CEO and hear how she continues to apply advice and learnings from her Stern education.

Have you ever wondered what it takes to start a restaurant? Well, Tilit also hosts a podcast, “Opening Soon”, where they capture the "behind the scenes” stories of chefs and restaurateurs in the midst of opening restaurants.

We look forward to having you for what will surely be a fun and inspiring time.

More on Tilit
We know kitchen workwear from the inside out. On a mission to help people look better and cook better since 2012. We are a family run business born from a seasoned chef’s need for more stylish and functional workwear. We started small with just 2 aprons, a shirt and a pair of pants and have since evolved into a full blown kitchen fashion brand. Tilit is redefining workwear for chefs and home cooks from the kitchen to the street.
