Professor Rob Salomon Launches His New Book, Global Vision

At a recent book launch event at NYU Stern, Robert Salomon, Associate Professor of Management and Organizations and an expert in globalization, shared with an audience of alumni, students, and faculty why some of today’s brand-name companies like Uber, IKEA, Walmart, and even Starbucks have fallen far short of expectations for successful expansion overseas, the topic of his new book, Global Vision: How Companies Can Overcome the Pitfalls of Globalization.

Dean Peter Henry Visits Asia to Meet with Stern Community in Singapore, Taipei and Hong Kong

With NYU Stern alumni living all over the world, Dean Peter Henry takes the opportunity to visit with the Stern community outside of New York City whenever  he can. Recently, he connected with the Stern community in Asia, visiting Singapore, Taiwan and China. These gatherings were a chance for Dean Henry to share updates from Stern and the University, including highlights such as NYU’s new president, Andrew Hamilton, whose tenure began in January 2016, and NYU’s record number of 60,000 applications.
