The NYU Stern Office of Alumni Relations traveled to Los Angeles, CA, and hosted the panel "2015 and Beyond: Top Trends in Marketing & Brand Management" on Thursday, June 18. The panelists discussed the best brands across industries and the future of marketing and brand management domestically.
The event featured Suzanne Elliott (EMBA '10), Principal at Elliot Strategies LLC, Javon Frazier (MBA '05), Principal at Maestro Media Ventures, Rebecca Kramer Rosengard (MBA '09), Automotive Industry Marketing Lead at Twitter, and Jasmine Victor (BS '02), Director of Integrated Marketing at Viacom Velocity.
The group focused on the changing landscape of marketing with the major and ongoing impact of social media in this industry. People now engage with brands (and one another) via social media, which is a new phenomenon considered "real-time" marketing. They also discussed segmentation and populations of consumers, and how they engage with different platforms in different ways.
On Thursday, June 25, the Stern Office of Alumni Relations will be in San Francisco and will host A Conversation with Twitter's Mike Gupta (BS '92) & NYU Stern Professor Al Lieberman, Executive Director of the NYU Stern EMT Initiative.
