Join Professor Anat Lechner, Clinical Professor of Business Management, and your fellow alumni for a lifelong learning workshop exploring how artificial intelligence is rapidly evolving from a productivity tool into a fundamental driver of business transformation.
 
Participants will examine how AI is reshaping strategy, operating models, decision-making, and competitive advantage across industries. Through real-world examples, emerging case studies, and interactive exercises, the discussion will highlight how organizations are moving from experimenting with AI to embedding it at the core of their business architecture. Together, we will explore key questions facing leaders today: What becomes possible when AI is treated as infrastructure rather than a tool? Which functions, workflows, and roles may become obsolete, and what new capabilities must organizations build? We will also address governance, workforce implications, and the strategic risks of both moving too slowly and adopting AI without clear direction. The goal is to provide attendees with a structured framework for understanding AI’s transformative potential and for navigating the leadership decisions required in an increasingly AI-native economy.
 
The program will conclude with a 1.5-hour networking reception to connect with the Stern community.

Speaker Bio: 
Anat Lechner is a Full-time Clinical Professor of Business Management at the Stern School of Business. Professor Lechner’s research focuses on disruptive leadership, innovation, and strategic change. A former Research Fellow at McKinsey & Co. and the founder of a Management-consulting firm, Professor Lechner's client list includes Fortune 100 firms in the Financial Services, Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, Energy, Food, High Tech, Design and Retail industries. She’s had numerous appearances in the NYT, WSJ, Forbes, Time and other premier global media outlets. Anat holds an MBA and a PhD in Organization Management from Rutgers University, NJ.
