NYU Stern Celebrates Scholarship Donors and Student Scholars
—
On March 5, 2026, NYU Stern welcomed scholarship donors and student recipients to its annual Scholarship Reception—an evening dedicated to celebrating generosity, opportunity, and the life-changing power of education.
Dean Bharat Anand opened the program by reflecting on NYU’s enduring commitment to being a university defined by access and opportunity for all. He underscored how philanthropy can transform lives and emphasized the profound role scholarships play in shaping the next generation of leaders.
A highlight of the evening was a student panel moderated by Dean Anand, featuring Renee Bogda (MBA ’26), Jesús Gomez (BS/MS ’27), and Nicole Stallings (BS ’26). The scholars shared candid reflections on why they chose Stern, how scholarships made their education possible, and the aspirations driving their futures.

Each student emphasized that their scholarship did more than make attending Stern possible—it empowered them to fully engage in the academic and co-curricular opportunities that define the Stern experience. From pursuing entrepreneurship and advancing business and sustainability initiatives to preparing for careers in corporate tax law, the panelists spoke about how Stern is equipping them with the skills, confidence, and perspective to lead meaningful careers.
