In November, the Stern Corporate Ambassadors Program hosted a reception at Goldman Sachs in conversation with Jonathan Haidt, Thomas Cooley Professor of Ethical Leadership at NYU Stern, and Chris Gallea (BS ’88), vice chairman of investment banking at Goldman Sachs and member of the NYU Stern Executive Board. The event was coordinated in partnership with Eric Lipkind (MBA ’18), a Stern Corporate Ambassador at Goldman.

The event, open to Stern alumni who work at Goldman Sachs, offered a timely exploration of the themes in Haidt’s latest book, The Anxious Generation: How the Great Rewiring of Childhood Is Causing an Epidemic of Mental Illness. Haidt shared his research on the effects of technology and social media on today’s youth, while Gallea provided perspective from his decades of leadership in global finance. The conversation was followed by a networking reception.
